Nevena is 22 years old. She is a student at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation.
In the future, Nevena sees Serbia as a country where all those who have left return, and who use what they have learned abroad to rebuild Serbia. “Everything comes down to us, young people. We, although we are looking for the ways to leave the country, we should think of coming back and of using the knowledge and experience we have gained there to rebuild Serbia.”
The fact that Serbia is a rich country in natural beauties is a positive thing. “The geography of Serbia is fantastic. I like that we have a lot of mountains and rivers. I like that people have a desire, I see that everyone has a desire to take advantage of it, and that we are trying to use it in some way. ”
When she looks at the people around her, she is worried because there is generally hopelessness and impatience among them. “What worries me the most is the collective hopelessness, the people mostly can’t find a way, they are lost, and they don’t know where they are going. People do not pay attention to the feelings of others, and again I know that as the nation we are sensitive and sociable, and we are not cold. But the current situation is such that it seems that everyone is getting more and more cold-hearted, just because we live in this time and everyone aims to go somewhere abroad.”
Nevena, a speech pathology student, who is very forgiving and forgetful, is a communicative young person. What has become special about her life is that she began to live for God, and it may be something that makes her a little different from the others.
